Posted By: ErikV
Maybe it's just me, but I don't see many of the Lefty Grove cards readily available.
Perhaps the experts on the board can verify.

Posted By: P SPAETH
I wouldn't characterize any of these cards as "readily available" but that said I don't think the Grove is especially difficult.

Posted By: paulstratton
The only one that I have ever owned was a Bobby Jones. In a total 420 moment I sold it for some odd reason. It might be the only thing I have ever regretted selling, it still makes me sick thinking about it.

Posted By: Brad Green

Since the front of the Lefty Grove card has already been shown, and everyone else is only showing the front of U.S. Caramels, I thought I'd show the back of the Grove U.S. Caramel.

It never gets old seeing "Lonaconing, MD" written on the back of Lefty's cards. Lonaconing, MD is a small town of about 1000 people. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that my hometown (also Lonaconing, MD) would have produced a Hall of Fame pitcher. And what's more, never would I have thought that he would be my cousin!

Posted By: Brad Green

Erik:

To answer your question about Lefty Grove U.S. Caramels... When eBay first came onto the seen, about 1 or 2 Grove Caramels would show up every year. But I must say that over the past several years, I haven't seen too many. I have seen probably 1 or 2 in the past 3 or 4 years on eBay.

Brad
Posted By: John Kalafarski
I've been looking for a nice Grove caramel for quite a time. The US Caramels come up, but no Lefty!

Posted By: P Spaeth
The pop report, to the extent that is an accurate barometer, shows about an average number of Groves relative to the rest of the set.
