Posted By: steve yawitz
Picked up my Mastro win from FedEx this weekend:

I sold an SGC 10 awhile back and it's probably the only card I've actually missed. (Hope you're still enjoying it, Pete!) I regret some poorly timed and executed sales, but this is probably the only card I truly wanted to replace. Plus, I think it looks pretty decent for a 20.

The only downside is that the right side of the slab is totally unsealed - to the point I could probably jimmy the card out of the holder with some effort. I seriously doubt it's anything more sinister than slipshod QC, but still kind of a drag that I need to send it back to SGC, especially when I was seriously considering sending them a few cards for the first time.

http://imageevent.com/yawie99

Posted By: Russ Bright
SO i finally have MY pickup of the century - 1935 Who's Who in Baseball - for anyone who hasn't seen one - i have included scans - it's history, writeups of every player on a specific team, in this case for 1935 - so there are pages on Ruth, Gehrig, Walter Johnson and Honus Wagner, and MANY MANY more - 112 pages...

oh yeah did I mention it was autographed by Honus Wagner?

I had a thread about this about a month ago when I won it - and wondering about the authenticity - the auction I won it from never mentioned, but it had been Authenticated by James Spense (PSA/DNA) - and the Wagner autograph has been graded a 9-10

I severely underpaid I know, and STILL have no idea what it's worth - anyone with something comprable and a good idea of value please e-mail me offlist - thanks!

Russ

Posted By: Bob
The Philadelphia is the scarcer variation but even the Cleveland is very tough. I used to think Rossman was by far the toughest (not counting the Young and Sullivan variations) but I am not so sure Nichols may not be the toughest to find. I know you might have been surprised at the sale price but my snipe bid was 50% higher than the final bell.
