Posted By: Hal Lewis
Anyone find a list yet anywhere that lists all 83 items?

They have a few up on their web site, but only about 10%.

(yes, some of the items are consigned are mine, but I am not asking this question to "raise awareness." I seriously want to see what else will be competing against my cards for the buying dollars)

Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
And Hal, if you find out what will be "competing" against your cards, will that give you the "chance" to withdraw your lots for a later auction?

Posted By: Bruce MacPherson
I don't think any "awareness" is necessary for this auction, given the quality of sneak preview of items up on the Mastro site. I was hoping the Pirates would be separated into several lots, but that doesn't appear to be the case given that there are only 80+ items. The pirates seem to be very high grade, but look at the borders on the cards. Are they hand cut?

Posted By: Hal Lewis
I could, but if someone had a link, it would have just been easier and given me more time to examine it.

I didn't want to be writing 83 things down over the phone.

Are they hand cut?"

It's my understanding they are all hand cut or hand trimmed. That's probably why they look so sharp (am I wrong?). Although they are a legitimate issue I would be very nervous forking over dough on one of those.

btw...on the rebacked thread I posted examples of various edges and what to look for. One of those is a doctored T206 with a Pirate back. Made just to see if could be done.

Kevin Saucier

Posted By: Cobby33
I, too, have heard (from multiple sources) that the Pirates are hand-cut. PSA interprets this as trimming. SGC does not. Go figure.

I hired a new GM to run both stores so am cautiously optimistic.....At least I think I can go to the National and have a little peace of mind.....thanks for mentioning it

Posted By: Cat
Is it difficult to get the tickets to the live auction? I put a call into Mastro last week and although a live body answered the phone I was sent into someone's voice mail who still has not called me back. Can one expect to get tickets the day of the auction?

Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
Leon, I was hoping someone would catch the fact that I was prepared to sell one kidney that I myself did not own. It's bad enough to be on dialysis and without the BG Cobb. I'm clearly a desperate man.
