Posted By: Dave F
I am trying to understand why there weren't stronger bids for this...I was the underbidder, and I didn't expect to come anywhere close. But the third bidder was a good bit behind. I thought this was a rare issue ...so why so low? because it was that bad off-center?

edited for idiot-ness

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=160134639793&rd=1&rd=1

Posted By: Zinn
Interesting numbers Leon.

By way of comparison a lot of 17 SGC graded e99's sold in May at the Heritage auction for $16,730 for an average of $985 per card. Believe there were three 40's with most 10's and 20's.

Posted By: Dave F
Is this series pretty known for the cards being as off center as this one was? Or could that have been a reason others didn't bid as strong?
Posted By: Dave F
With the prices above that Leon posted from a few years back, does anyone still think the prices on these E99's and E100's are going to continue to rise and now is still a good time to be buying? Have things kind of leveled off now? Or is lady luck going to be seeing some of these going back a couple years as far as prices?

Posted By: dstudeba
I personally think it went extremely high. I would have bid at most $68.45 for it, but I collect Mohler as he played in the same state I live in so I had to have it.

I am no expert on this issue, but this is the most off center e100 I have seen.

Thanks for the compliment Zinn.

Posted By: Bob
I was at the $300+ bid and had another snipe bid in but it didn't get entered because the winning bid was so high. If it is any consolation my bid was $600 which I felt was a realistic and reasonable bid. My astonshment wasn't at the winning bid, it was that the E99 SGC authentic McCredie which was trimmed and had back damage thumped this card all over the place.
