Frank Ward had one a few yrs ago in his uncataloged section some have 1931 in the text on the back and they are all numbered. 6 ARE 2 PLAYER CARDS. This is my only individual player card..Anyone know who he is?? Looks like he got to close to the cigar. Posted By: Ryan Christoff
Jim,

The player on the right is Francisco Quevedo, an early Venezuelan catcher. It is card #37 from the 1931 E. Quintana issue from Venezuela. The card on the left shows the reverse of card #198 from the 1931 Doble Aguila issue. They are all really part of the same issue, produced by the same company. The full series runs through number 316. Cards 1-200 are from 1931. Numbers 201 and above are from 1932, although 201 to 240 are all boxing. There are several runs of boxing in the 1-200 numbers as well.

You'll notice on the reverse of the Quevedo card it will say "E. QUINTANA & Ca." in the place where the other card says "DOBLE AGUILA, SPORT, etc. etc."

E-mail me a list of the numbers and I'll tell you who the players are.

-Ryan
