This was a minor league set and what makes it a little unusual is the date of issue. There were very few cards issued during the war, let alone 1943 (in the middle of it). Posted By: <b>Dylan</b><p>If the card isn't prewar and its certainly not "postwar" what designation do they get "duringwar" sets? I consider the few sets released during the war to be categorized with prewar and i bet most do here too. So I think this is right in topic, but thats just my opinion

Posted By: <b>Paul</b><p>The set has two Tony Lazzeri's in it. He was the team's player manager and they are his last cards as an active player. I purchased them both from someone in Wilkes Barre. I remember Tik & Tik once had a complete set. You almost never see any of them for sale. They are listed in the Standard Catalog, though.
