T207 question..

Posted By: <b>ockday</b><p>Analyzing my Broadleaf,Cycle and Anonymous back T207's..I see that I have 66 Broadleafs, 18 Cycles, 10 Anonymous 25(let's forget about Anonymous 3 for now).<br />There are 50 cards in T207 that can have these backs so a master set would be 50x3 or 150 cards.I have 74 out of the 150 possible backs.<br />My question...Has anyone ever completed this master set..or is anyone even attempting to?<br />Right now I only have 2 cards..Bauman and Moore where I have all 3 backs so I don't think I'll be attempting to do this anytime soon especially considering that finding..let alone buying 2 more Irv Lewis cards is scary.<br />But hey you never know <img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14><br /><br />Alan

I wonder if all of the difficult T207 subjects are in fact available with all of the difficult backs (Broadleaf, Cycle, Both Anon). In T206 many subjects that are theoretically possible with a particular back are not possible with that back in fact. By undertaking this considerable challenge you are also doing us all a favor by researching this question. Best of luck, and please report your progress to the board.<br /><br />Scot

Posted By: <b>Patrick McHugh</b><p>I do not think anyone has ever done it. I do not know if anyone is trying. My belief is that it can be done. After looking at SGC pop reports all of the cards exist. Also with many graded with psa no back I.D. this tells me it can be done. Broadleaf would be hard, red cycle very very hard, and anon the toughest. The anon set may have to be a blend of fact 25 and 3. I have noticed that the anon cards run in cycles. You will see a few 25's for sale and then a few 3's for sale. I feel that collectors in the east got anon 25 and in the mid west anon 3 with a blend of both in the south. To do a t207 true master set without variations, red cross or recruit brown backs may be impossible. To go along with this line of collecting i think there are a couple people doing the recruit cards in fact 240 and fact 606.

Posted By: <b>ockday</b><p>The "master set" I would consider atempting would be only for the Broadleaf, Cycle and Anon backs.<br />I wouldn't even consider a Napoleon set of 150 cards.<br />For Anonymous, I think Patricks idea of combining both is a good idea. Oddly enough, I think most if not all my anonymous 3 backs are from the Broadleaf/Cycle class...I have to re-check my cards.<br />Broadleaf is very doable for me as I think I have 44/50..the other 2 will be a tough challenge...stay tuned.<br />Alan

Exactly how many different players have been identified with Red Cross backs? Is it theorized that the same 50 players who have red cycle backs were produced with the red cross backs?
