It appears he uses a sniper service on the hamster866 account, so you wouldn't even now he is bidding until the auction is over.

I have bought from Jeff in the past without a problem but now I wonder how many of those cards I paid more than I should have. I definately will be very cautious in bidding, if I do at all, in his auctions in the future.

Lee

Posted By: Mark Marvelli
I bought a Gold Medal Dizzy Dean from him for +/-$250.00 with postage and insurance...My secretary signed for it but she didnt notice that the card was not in the envelope. I emailed Powell and let him know of the problem in order to start the resolution process...he told me that my secretary probably stole it and I should have my packages sent to my house from now on (nice customer service)...I ignored his acusation and calmly asked him to send me the insurance receipt...eventually I discovered that he insured a $250 card for only $100 and I was out the difference. He will not return emails and I have resolved myself to being the loser in 'the deal'. A more surly and uncooperative seller I have not had to deal with. I have little patience and no respect for these types...I just wish I could be there when Kharma pays him back.

Mark

Posted By: Steve Murray
Jeff is correct. Change your ID and everything else remains the same. Feedback, time joined, etc.

The little symbol that looks like a fish bowl next to all the others following the feedback is notice that the ID has been changed. It stays there for 30 days.

If you put pcj212 into your seller advanced search it will pop up tywagner1223.

Funny as to why he would want to change his ID after so many years.

Oh, I forgot, you can also check ID History and it will show you the date the ID was changed. Ergo, my post.

Posted By: John S
I have won a few of Jeff's auctions...always very courteous and professional. With that said I hope that I did not pay inflated prices. I do recall his eBay account being suspended about 8 months ago (I was watching some of his items and received the notification from eBay). I really didn't think much of it due to his excellent feedback.

Posted By: Bob C
jeff has been around forever. he used to run a small ad in scd pre-ebay days. he would then mail color copies of all the cards you were interested in and you could buy accordingly. things have really changed!
i've never had any issues with him, buying or selling, and i believe my ebay transactions with jeff have been on the up-and-up. that said, bad on him if he is shilling. i doubt jeff will weigh in here but who knows.
