Had that happen to me last year.

What do you guys think? Anyone know who the player is?
Posted By: Clint
Dan, I found this auction with about an hour to go. I thought about bidding on it but had the same concerns. When in doubt, do without. I have no idea who the player is.

Posted By: Dan Bretta
Heh....I had doubts on this when it was in a scrapbook on ebay. I got outbid by Rhys at something like $130 IIRC.

Look at what it did in the latest REA....

http://www.robertedwardauctions.com/site/bidplace.aspx?itemid=8220

And that's really only one of quite a few items I've passed up on ebay because of my misgivings that I've seen later in Mastro or REA.

Posted By: Clint
Well, I guess you win some and you lose some. More money for Nebraska Indians items right. That was an awesome cabinet you won the other night. Congrats!

-Clint

Posted By: Dan Bretta
Thanks. I'm wondering what the connection is to the Baltimore collector who had the cabinet as it seemed out of place alongside all of the early Baltimore baseball items. Friend of Guy Green? Maybe one of the players went on to play in Baltimore? I'll probably never know, but it's picqued my interest.
