Posted By: Rob L
Hey all,

I think I have finally made the jump to the darkside. I used to post quite a bit when this forum was run by B. Cornell and left when it became card only but I did keep lurking. I guess all of the lurking finally piqued my interests in T206s. I bought my first and only T206 five years ago (a VG Cy Young - bare hand) but then started on the T201 set (12 cards to go there). Just yesterday, I decided to start the leap. I picked the cards below yesterday. It will be interesting to see where this goes!

Take care,

Rob L

Posted By: Rob L
Leon,

Thanks. It's good to be back. I have been lurking since the change, just didn't have much to say (T201s aren't a popular topic).

Take care,

Rob

Posted By: Brian (misunderestimated)
I thought the "Dark Side" would be a reference to card grading or something like that...

Posted By: jason
Hi Rob, how could you???? With myself, Rob M. (ram ram) and a couple others, there aren’t many of us pre-proballers left!!!

With all the emphasis on slabbed cards these days, does anyone still have an interest in early CDV's and the like?
Posted By: Frank Wakefield
Max,

That is a very nice cover on a Speed Johnson, Who's Who book, unless my eyes deceive me.

Difficult to find a cover that nice, the big book usually banged around a bit, and the covers were thin.

Beautiful!

Posted By: Max Weder
Frank

The copy pictured there is the salesman's sample edition, which I believe is even harder to find than the big book in dust jacket. The dust jacketed book (which is pictured on the bottom shelf in the bookshelf) is amazing to have survived at all, given the size of the book. I had my dust jacket professionally restored, but don't tell anyone

Max
