Posted By: T206Collector
I thought this would be a good place to post our auction results from the Huggins & Scott Auction over the last two nights -- and also give me a chacne to ask a question about one of the lots I won. In my first foray into H&S I won a lot of 15 SGC graded southern leaguers and this lot of 8 assorted Caramel Cards.

Can somebody help me determine a value on each of these? I rarely dabble in caramel, and even less so in e90-1 and e92 dockman cards. I would love to hear what someone would think these would go for individually. I just have no idea. Thanks!

Posted By: Scott Gross
As a lower grade e90-1 collector, here are my "relative" pricing:
Krause & Engle: Commons, nice images, corner wear, light crease -- $40
Schaefer: from a the famous "errased type-writer" collection, with back damage -- $25 (amazing I have a Schlitzer with such afflictions that was actually graded a gai 1.5 -- how such a blatently altered card could have been graded is beyound me, luckily cracked out).
Bresnahan: "common" HOF, I have one pretty close, with some creasing across legs I got for $35, so this one -- $60 (that maybe low).
M. Brown: Slightly tougher HOF, mine very similar, with slightly more creasing I got for $55 (good deal), so this one -- $80 (that, also may be low).
So figure 20% either way, and you're in the neighborhood.

Speaking of Neighborhoods, I live in downtown Savannah, GA and it's St. Patrick's day, and for those who know .................

Posted By: Charlie O'Neal
I picked up a lot of T206's and a johnson t206 pitching. The one card I was mainly after T206 Johnson portrait I bid strong on but came up a little short. That damn card still eludes me.

That's funny - I think I know exactly which you mean. I have the O'Leary, and I think one other. The second one I got many months after the O'Leary and from a different seller, so I was surprised and even a little pleased to see the exact same typing.

I thought about trying to get others, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Cool. I wonder how many of the set ol' WG had?

Also, has anyone/everyone received their lots yet? I was traveling the weekend after the auctions ended so sent in an MO the following weekend. Then I was also traveling most of the following week. I think it's still a little soon to expect shipment, but since I wasn't home for awhile I am more nervous than normal - hoping it didn't arrive while I was gone and walk off on its own.

Joann
