Posted By: George Dreher
Is this card rarer than the price guide would seem to indicate? I can find no record of one ever being sold on eBay and only found it listed as being sold twice at any other auction.

Posted By: Tim Newcomb
If you are referring to the M116 Sporting Life Wagner, it's not particularly difficult to find, just expensive. There are plenty on ebay each year, including one right now:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1911-M116-Hans-Honus-Wagner-PSA-7_W0QQitemZ180095139026QQcategoryZ57993QQssPageNam eZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Posted By: Bob
Are you referring to the pastel or the blue Honus Wagner? The information you are looking at is in error as I know of at least 4 Wagners which have sold on ebay during the last couple of years. I have bid on 3 of them and the other sold with a BIN. There is one on ebay right now with a BIN. The blue Wagner pops up much less frequently than the pastel.

Posted By: Paul
My best SWAG is that I've seen about six on eBay in the past year, so I thinks it's obtainable with some fairly deep pockets. Any other sightings estimates out there?

edited to add that I must type really slow

Posted By: George Dreher
Thank you for the responses. I wasn't aware there was one on eBay. I entered "Sporting Life Honus Wagner" in my search and it came up with nothing. Forgot to put "M116" instead.

Posted By: Brian
Bruce, fantastic card. I have never seen one before--I assume it's even pricier than the M116?
Brian

Posted By: Bruce Babcock
Brian, Out of curisoity, I just looked up the price for the M110 Wagner. SCD 2007 "book" prices are

M110 Wagner NM 22,500 EX 9,000 VG 4,500

for the M116 Wagner blue = 22,000 - 11,000 - 6,600
pastel = 4,000 - 2,000 - 1100

With no facts to back this up, I'm guessing that the M110 is a tougher card to find than either of the M116s.

Posted By: Bob
Bruce- You would be correct. As an avid M116er, I would still pay more for the M110, you just never see it. Thanks for sharing the scan.
tbob

Posted By: Brian
Bruce--
I would take a NM copy of that M116 pastel for those prices anyday...one reason I have not bought the SCD. I think the pricing is way out of whack. Thanks for the info.
Brian
