Posted By: RC McKenzie
Hi,

Cravath was a great player and many would argue that he should be in the Halll of Fame. The card you posted is, unfortunatley, a reprint. Regards..

Posted By: John S
White borders too wide, no border (black line) around image, font used for name & team is incorrect, reverse wrong color.

Posted By: barrysloate
Joey- the EPDG ad back only comes in red, and the borders are too wide, the lettering and front colors don't quite match- in short, everything is wrong with it.

Posted By: Joe Pelaez
If you didn't pay too much for the card, hold on to it.
Use it for a comparison purpose.
At this moment you have a very important card where many of the forum collectors have told you what to look for.
Now that's information that you didn't know before you obtained that card.

It's part of the learning experience.
I'm willing to bet that there isn't a collector on this forum that hasn't had a learning experince. ... I know I have.

The more you learn, the more you'll enjoy the hobby.

Let us know what other T206 you come up with.
Have fun, and enjoy the hobby.

Joe P.

Posted By: JimB
I bought a couple of fake D304s about 15 years ago at a show. I did not realize it until a board member kindly pointed it out about three or four years ago.
JimB

Posted By: T206Collector
...buy raw T206 cards because they are cheaper than graded cards of equivalent condition. But, always remember that you sometimes get what you pay for --- and for a little extra money, you can buy an SGC graded T206 card from members on this board that ensures the authenticity of your card. In addition, if you start with buying lower value T206 cards then you will be able to learn what they're supposed to look like before you move on to higher value cards.

Good luck and don't be discouraged by this unfortunate event.
