Posted By: Tony
I recently purchased a new new safe for some of my cards. I saw in previous posts that people seemed to like a safe that Home Depot sold, with a combo key/digital lock. I looked at the safe at Home Depot and purchased it. It came with 2 desiccant packets to absorb the moisture in the air, but I must have thrown them out accidentally. My question is, where can I buy a few extra packets of these? Any info is appreciated.

They have an indicator on them that let's you know when it's time to bake them out for re-use.

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat602007-cat601047-cat20799&id=0005567220673a&navCount=1&podId=0005567&parentId=cat20799&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=XG&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20799&hasJS=true

An environmental hygeinist recommended putting cotton towels in your safe or storage area to absorb the moisture. Also, buying a hygrometer (humidity meter) is a good investment. The humidity in your storage area, ideally, should be between 40-70%.
