There is paperwork that needs to be filled out and you need to make an appointment in advance. Also, if it is made known that you are gathering information from the viewing for either an article in some type of publication or using the information for a book, I got the feeling that they would be much more willing to give you a tour of the collection.<br /><br />

Posted By: <b>barrysloate</b><p>It's pretty much the same with the Burdick Collection at the Metropolitan Museum or the Spalding Collection at the NY Public Library. They want you to have a specific reason, such as a research project.
