Edd J. Roush 1915 Federal League Contracts & Letters

Posted By: <b>EddJRoush</b><p>Hello,<br /> Although technically off-topic, I am making a post on behalf of the granddaughter of Edd Roush.<br /><br /> Together, we are working together to create a digital archive of her grandfather's letters, documents, baseball cards, and other assorted memorabilia. The archive will be housed at the Black Sox file center, unless we want to change it. So far, we have updated the site with a letter from Ty Cobb, a letter from WH Watkins, and the two different revisions of his Federal League contract from 1915. What is so fascinating about the contracts is the inclusion of "The reserve clause". It has been "over struck" in both examples.<br /><br /> These files have been produced from copies of the originals (I didn't have my scanner with me the first time!). We will continue to do this over the next few years. To reduce the file size for the 4 Roush documents, the files are only compatible with versions 7.0 and later. To upgrade to the latest version <a href="http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/8.x/8.0/enu/AdbeRdr80_en_US.exe">click here</a>.
