Posted By: Dave
Wondered what the latest is with this. How many total hits a day and how many unique IP address a day on average are currently coming through. I'm curious if there is really any more than 10% of the viewers of this site that actually post and participate.

Posted By: leon
Hard to say about percentages but here are hits to the front page the last several days...

Sun, Feb 11.... 14,531
Mon, Feb 12.... 21,871
Tue, Feb 13.... 18,691
Wed, Feb 14.... 17,739

We are right about 1240 unique IPs every weekday, plus or minus 50, and Sunday we had 1009. I feel that the weekends are a very close approximate of our viewing number as most folks don't work on the weekend so they wouldn't login from 2 different places.

regards
The total amount of hits to the whole site is ahout 27,000-33,000 a day, including the BST and links pages.....My guess is this site would represent about 1 tenth of 1 percent of vintage collectors, at very most, and most likely far less......But it does have a lot of quality folks that are very active in the hobby. Every now and then I see a name or two I don't see often. I noticed Mr.Leland posted yesterday and Bill Heitmann has come on here sometimes.....along with many others. I would think most, if not all, of the major auction houses, dealers, and grading companies visit this site fairly often. The last few days have been very peaceful on the board and I am thankful. I don't care for the train wrecks more than most as I am unfortunately caught in the middle of many of them.....

Posted By: Bob
Leon- I agree I think the number of people reading the board has really increased but would the numbers be skewed upward a little by the many people constantly checking the BST thread for cards or is this factored in to your numbers?
tbob

Posted By: leon
Here are numbers added into the mix with all of the BST pages and the front page together....add about 3500 to each one of these below, for the links pages, and you get an accurate amount of traffic, on average, for the board. It's been this much for a while..So quick math says the site gets very close to 1,000,000 hits per month...We're some addicted rascals........Hope this helps

Sun, Feb 11.... 24,199
Mon, Feb 12.... 30,047
Tue, Feb 13.... 25,568
Wed, Feb 14.... 23,988
Thu, Feb 15.... 23,614

I live on the frontier, the Arkansas/Oklahoma border, Conway is about 30 miles from Little Rock in the central part of the State. Fort Smith and surrounding bedroom communities totals about 100,000 people and 2 prewar card collectors, a ratio of 1 to 50,000
