With winds topping 100 mph only when Peyton Manning throws, the Bears intercepted Manning 32 times, returning them all for touchdowns. Gould also ends the game with a fieldgoal from 85 yards with the wind at his back.

Da Bears.

I know it is being done for financial reasons but even huge companies say the Big Game. Nobody uses "Superbowl." I think there is more to it. Does any advertiser not use the Big Game?

I would love to see them pull off the upset but I am not convinced that the Bears D can keep Manning in check. I am not concerned with the Bears O as I think they can run on Indy but as painful as it is for me to say this I think: Colts 24 Bears 13

Posted By: Rich Klein
Has taken the trademarking to the step of shutting down church events which offered super bowl parties and used the actual name.

I know I heard on the news there was one in Houston that happenned to and you go to Deadspin.com there was a story a few days ago about a different church that had the same thing happen to them. For the folks in the NFL; I would consider taking a lesson in common sense.

Bears 20
Colts 17

IMHO, the Bears have a "punchers" chance between their return teams and the possibility of a wet field. If that happens, and if the Bears turn to be as good of a mudder as I think they would be, then you might see the upset of the year

Regards
Rich

Posted By: Judge Dred (Fred)
Poor Rex Grossman is going to get slammed on this one. Four turnovers attributed to poor Rex. Overall it was a team effort in the loss. If Chicago could have got their running game untracked it could have been different. Too much pressure on Rex. Those picks were terrible throws. Two fumbled snaps, ouch.

Posted By: Jim Clarke
Told my wife before the game that Rex could be one of the worst quarterbacks to ever start a Super Bowl game. Who was that guy that was the quarterback for the Ravens when they went to the big dance?? Rex will be traded away if anyone will take him...
Yes. I'm upset I lost my wager to Jay on this years Super Bowl. I should have held out for more points getting Da Bears!

Posted By: Josh Adams
Rex isn't as bad as everyone says he is.

Tough game for the entire team. Doesn't help when the Defense collapses.

Manning is a stud, hats off to him, he played great.
THis was Rex's first full year as a QB, took his team to the super bowl. To call him terrible isn't very fair to his accomplishments. He will be fine, this will be a learning experience, in the long run.
Congrats Colts, you deserve it.

Lets Go Bears, get 'em next year!

How long till opening day?

Go Go White Sox
2005 World Series Champions!

Posted By: davidcycleback
Get this, I had to go to the symphony today. I had gotten the tickets about six months ago, and didn't realize it was on the Super Bowl Sunday until last week. The symphony featured Andre Watts (famous pianist) so I wasn't going to skip that, and I got home to see the entire second half of the game-- so it all worked out.

Posted By: barrysloate
It was an exciting game but it is a pity it had to be played in such dreadful weather conditions.

And for all the criticism of Grossman, he was 20 for 28 for 165 yards and a touchdown. He threw two interceptions, but turnovers were the norm and the ball was very slippery. Certainly not the worst performance in Super Bowl history.

Posted By: Jason L
You're right, "Rex isn't as bad as everyone says he is", he's worse!
I sincerely hope he is not there when they report to camp in the summer. He is in way over his head in the NFL...he should try CFL or Europa.

I would argue that it was an amazing performance by the defense!!! They held Manning and the Colts offense to 22 points (don't count the INT return), which is admirable all by itself, and then consider the fact that the Bears D was on the field the ENTIRE GAME!!!

credit to the Colts, true...but no one can survive a QB that turns the ball over 4 times each game....

Anyway, yes, we'll get them next year.

Jason L
(Chicago born and raised, 26-year Bear fan....bitter Monday morning blues)

Posted By: DJ
I made a little money on Sunday on the game, but lost my prop bets. 130+ yards rusing for the Bears (thanks injured Cedric Benson) and Dallas Clark scoring the first TD. What was I thinking?

Rex is simply not a cerebral quarterback. Those two picks, he simply chucked up the ball. He reminds me of Drew Bledsoe, Patrick Ramsey and even an early version of J.P Losman (he's improving). You can't teach clutch and it's fairly easy to win fourteen games with that schedule (they took the School Of The Blind into overtime) and maybe they were the best team in the NFC, but there are four teams I feel in the AFC that could have beaten them.

Prince was good at Half Time...and the commercials were rather lame. I liked the Robert Goulet commercial...

D

Posted By: Josh Adams
Consider this,
This was Rex's first full year as the starter. he had some ups and downs (7 games with a QB rating over 100, same amount as Manning).
He will continue to grow. I don't think it's fair to place all the blame on him. (He definately did not help his cause though).
The D let up way to many yards, and could not come up with a 3rd down stop to save their lives.

Ah well, the Colts deserved it. Played a good game. Enjoy the victory, Colts fans!

Go Go White Sox
2005 World Series Champions!
