Posted By: dax
what is the opinion of some of the board members about cards that grade very well...such as PSA 7 or 8, NM-MT, but receive the designation of (OC). What effect does this designation have on the value of the card? Does it substantially impair the card's value, if the card is authentic, good color and the corners are sharp with little wear and has not been trimmed? Thanks in advance for your expert opinions.

Posted By: Dylan
I dont even understand a qualifier for OC miscut maybe. The only one i really undestand is for a mark. I think a card thats off center can be graded accordingly without having a qualifier. Id never submit a card and ask for qualifier thats flaw was offcentering. Rather take a clean five or six

Posted By: RC Mckenzie
I have 2 1965 Topps FB in psa 9 oc that I picked up for $20 each and have seen others in this grade sell for the same. They are both mint, but clearly oc. PSA 8's of the same cards would be around $40-$60 and psa 9's would be hundreds, It's a great way to pick up nice cards if you don't plan to resell. The ones I have would probably grade sgc 84 and sgc 84 would sell for around the same as psa 9 oc in this case from what I've seen. regards
