Posted By: Steve f
I have several of these... I'm inclined to believe that since St Louis won the WS in '26, the St L team was the first card. Then the Yanks. Followed by the many players in this issue. www.oldcardboard reports a *12 card set*, which may be a typo.

Any insight, theories or guidance would be terrific.

M101-7's thusfar;

1 St L 10/21/26 Double wide Team (Beat NY 4-3)
2 ---- 10/28/26 " " " (Yankees belong here?)
3 Wright 11/04/26
4 ---- 11/11/26
5 Traynor 11/18/26
6 Uhle 11/25/26
7 Hornsby 12/02/26
8 Mostil 12/09/26
9 Cuyler 12/16/26
10 Simmons 12/23/26
11 ---- 12/30/26
12 Lazzeri 01/06/26 Thankyou Todd S
13 Rice 01/13/27

Manush Illegible date. from Oldcardboard.com

___________________________________

Posted By: Lyman
Steve, you are correct. The listing that there are 12 cards for the M101-7 Sporting News supplement set is a "typo" (you are very generous; that sounds much better than saying it is a flat out blunder ). Thanks for bringing it to our attention. The "typo" has been corrected to show that the set contains thirteen supplements including the two team cards.

I have also added two checklists for the set to the website (one in order of player last name and one sequenced by date of issue). These can be viewed from the M101-7 page at http://www.oldcardboard.com/m/m101-7/m101-7.asp?cardsetID=967.

We have (very poor resolution) images of all of the supplements except the Cardinals team photo. If you (or anyone else) has a scan of the Cardinals team from the set, we would like very much to get a copy so we can post the entire M101-7 set gallery to the website. Please send any scan to editor@oldcardboard.com if you have one. Thanks again.

Lyman

Oh, amazing job 'repairing' the bite mark out of the Yanks team.

www.oldcardboard.com

Posted By: Steve f
Lyman, If you have a clearer scan... Who or what is that pitcher over the Babes' shoulder? Looks hand drawn.
