Their designation is R-303, and there are three different variations: R-303A (black and white, and slightly smaller than the others), and R303-B (1 and 2), which are slightly larger, with one being sepia tone and the other being b/w.<br /><br />Very lightweight stock, tough to find in higher grades, many have pinholes and/or tape/glue marks.<br /><br />Speculation is that they were produced to help sell a brand of Diamond Stars Gum in the time frame around 1938-1940.<br /><br />I think they're absolutely stunning cards.<br /><br />-Al
