Posted By: Brian Weisner

Hi Guys,
I picked up this postcard a few weeks ago, and wondered if anyone knew of it's origin. The Matty pose looks like his E& S publishing pose, but that's really all I have to go on. Thanks in advance for the help.

Be well Brian

Posted By: Dan Bretta
I had never seen it before and was set to bid a substantial amount on it, but Don Johnson emailed me only hours before the auction was going to end to sell me a Nebraska Indians cabinet. I think you got a nice deal...and with how things turned out with both me and Joe dropping out on it you got a little lucky.

Posted By: fkw
No never seen another like the NY card, its a nice one.

I remember it on eBay. I just matched up the front damage of the Wagner and it matches the stuff on the back of Brian's NY postcard, even the red stain. They all originally came from the same seller. I also bought a Ruth postcard from them and remember seeing these cards all with water damage to different degrees.

Posted By: Brian Weisner

Hi FKW,
Thanks, I almost emailed you directly about the card yesterday, but figured you might be overwhelmed after the holiday season. Boy, was I wrong, you are a better detective than I am.....

Be well Brian

Posted By: Robert S
This card is larger than a postcard, blank-backed and the image is somewhat different in layout, captioning, font, etc.:

Posted By: Robert S
I've seen two or three of the Giants premium before, one with more color tinting. The copyright in the group image is for International News Service.

I don't remember if I got it from eBay or from Scott Forrest several years ago (I know Scott had one and sold it).

Other than that, it reminds me of this premium of the Red Sox, below, which is roughly the same size and has the same sort of light color tinting (this one has a Burk & Attwell copyright):
