Posted By: Kenneth A. Cohen
I'm so tired of bogus bidders messing with the auctions of legitimate, highly literate Ebay sellers!

http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-T206-Ty-Cobb-card-LOOK_W0QQitemZ150073746384QQihZ005QQcategoryZ50133 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

This must stop!!!!

Merry Xmas to all.

You may want to thank the high bidder, he might have saved you $$, the Cobb, Speaker, (and M101-5 Ruth) cards are obvious fakes!!!

PS 99 cents, wow!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150074268414

Posted By: Frank Wakefield
Kenneth,

fkw / Frank is correct, you should be thankful, not displeased. Those cards are reprints.

He has a PSA 2 Playball Speaker, and I wonder a tiny bit about its authenticity... it may well be real. But grading doesn't convince me.

Frank.

Posted By: David Kern
But sometimes it is inappropriate, not to mention annoying. I recently sold a miscut N28, carefully described, good scans, no question of its authenticity. I've sold to a number of board members without problems, have over 1500 + feedback 99.9% positive. So I found it annoying and insulting to receive a high maximum bid from "backdamage" with 0 feedback. If anyone from the this board was responsible, it wasn't appreciated.

Posted By: fkw
Quan, I thought it was a joke too.....until I saw the first bid was from a bidder named Kenneth.... ???

For those that cant tell , The 2 T206 cards are doctored reprints, the M101-5 Ruth is a homemade job

2 T206 cards have a font that is the wrong color and too condenced. Also Sovereign is not found in orange (Speaker card), and the Cobb also is missing the tobacco factory district number on the back.

The M101-5 Ruth is a homemade fake. The authentic cards wouldnt have (inkjet) ink damage from a drop of water, and back should be black.

The 1940 Playball Speaker is real , .... but does he own it??

Posted By: joe brennan
I've traded e-mails with the seller. He is obviously a scam artist and will not listen that his cards are 100% fake. He's going to let them run their course and rip off who ever buys them. Some people just want to justify being a crook.

In Rememberance of James W. Brennan Sr. 1924-1982. Dad, thanks for everything you did for me.
