Posted By: Shanon
Just listed some cards on ebay tonight, one was a PSA 2 1958 Mantle. About an hour later I get a message from a guy offering me $40 for it. After laughing out loud I replied very politly "NO". Anybody else had some funny/ridiculous experiences on ebay?

Posted By: davidcycleback
An ebayer offered to trade me the Brooklyn Bridge for a T206 Walter Johnson. I
nixed the tempting offer as I live in a condo and didn't have the room. Besides,
he would have required me to pick it up.

Posted By: Rick McQuillan
I had the same thing happen a couple of weeks ago. I listed of lot of 5 Mantles, including a 57, an Aaron/Mantle, and 3 others. Nothing special, but they were Mantles. Within a few minutes after listing this lot some guy sends me a message with an offer for $80 shipped.

During my 1500-2000 sales on ebay I have only closed one auction early. The buyer offered me quite a bit more than I was expecting from this item, but I still have mixed feelings about closing this auction early.

Rick
