Posted By: Trae R.
For all of you who were interested in purchasing framed back reprint sets I've found a vendor that can do these custom but they're not cheap. My final retail price to you all is going to be around $119 for the 16x1 or 8x2 versions.

May I please have a show of hands from those of you who are still interested in purchasing them even at that price? You can email me if you like: trae@mlbvintage.com

I will require preorder and they would take about 2 weeks to produce and deliver.

The dimensions are as follows:
16x1 = 38.375 inches wide BY 4.375 inches tall
8x2 = 19.375 inches wide BY 7.375 inches tall

You can choose the order the backs are displayed in as well.

Thanks,
-Trae
Posted By: Dustan Hedlin
Here's a few images of possible finished products from another thread on these. Sorry if they're too big. I am partial to the first background.

Posted By: Anonymous
I think what would also be fun is to put one together with the actual cards. Im sure there's a way to mat them that would leave the cards unharmed, and i love the look of T206's with a little wear. Also an idea i had would be a compilation of various T backs. red cross, mino, red sun, Mono, T208 Cullivans fireside, kotton, T213 coupon, Peoples virgina extra, you could do the same for an E set compilation too, or just put all your favorites of all the various E,T,R,M,N,etc. sets together!

Posted By: Trae R.
Very cool to see this thread has picked up some steam. I am ordering one version of each today from the framing vendor once I get all of the details straight. As soon as I have them both pieced together I will post images of a real final product. The two images above of the 16x1 I created in Photoshop as ideas only - they don't really count. Thanks for posting them though - they do give you a fair idea.

I will definitely allow custom orders that allow you to customize the mat, frame and card opening background colors. Also, as mentioned above you would be able to let me know the order you would like the backs in.

As far as the idea of putting other backs in the display piece, or real cards - that's a great idea! The way I am having the frames and mats produced would allow me to sell these as a "kit" if anyone was interested in that option.

Thanks

Posted By: Trae R.
The final previews. These are as close as I can get to the actual final
products available for purchase next week. I realize the 16x1 only has
15 cards - I forgot the Ty Cobb back.

I will have exact pricing available very soon. I am placing my order for
one of each of these right now. Cherry and black frames are both available.
If you had something else in mind I would be happy to custom create it for
you for an additional charge. Feel free to email me your ideas and we'll discuss.

Posted By: Trae R.
I just got off of the phone with the vendor and they're going to cost
even more than I originally thought. So, final charge including shipping
& handling is going to be $165 each.

However, before I take any preorders I want to verify the quality of the
materials and final product. My order will be here in 6 business days so
I will start taking preorders and provide photographs at the end of next
week when mine arrive. I ordered one of each for myself.

Lastly, I have verified the mat the cards will be adhered to is archival/non-acidic.

Thanks for the emails and replies to this thread! I hope everyone is as excited as I am!

Posted By: Trae R.
Just another tidbit of information. I've order special paper
cement that is also just right for this project:
http://www.gssupplies.com/cement_paper.html
- many thanks to Peter for the reminder to use paper friendly
(archival) products for this project. I think it is of the
utmost importance for the material to be of highest quality
even when we're not adhering real cards to the mount.
