Posted By: DaveWith all the talk lately about the differant backs, just how rare are the blank backs? I see them now and then on ebay, but I've always thought these were cards that had a much higher chance of being fakes...no premiums for such either?

One sold in B/S/T last week for $300 I think... a G condition common.

Posted By: DaveSo a blank back....ungraded....bigger risk that it could be fake or would most that doctor up a card not bother doing so with blank backs? Just seems they would be alot easier to forge...only having to worry about getting the front of a card right.

Posted By: robert aBlank backs on t206 are pretty darn rare. There are both blanked back cards that appear to be hand cut and also cards that appear to be factory cut. The SL blank back that Trae posted a link to is more uncommon than a non SL t206. I don't think they have a higher chance of being fake. You just have to look for the same signs of a reprint. That being said, I've never seen a t206 reprint with a blank back. Rob

Posted By: robert aHow's it going Trae? This one actually has a diamond cut. Most likely part of a test run or some kind of printer's scrap. If I was a printer, I probably would've taken a few home. I would guess that there were printer's scrap sheets that might've been cut later (out of the factory) and scrap that went a step further and were factory cut like this one. <img src="http://photos.imageevent.com/caramelcard/t206backchecklist/websize/chance.jpg">

Posted By: DaveMay be a stupid question..but a card advertised as a blank back, with obvious removal spots from an album....what would the chances be of totally taking off a thin enough layer of the back of a card and it being passed as a blank back?
