I was the underbidder on that lot, and I don't remember who won them, but it looks like they got broken up...or more were found?<br /><br />I'm guessing internal photos used for programs, newsletters or whatever else the Reds needed them for.

Fascimile sigs are usually for commercial items-- for the fans.<br /><br />In cases, teams made player/team photos that they both sold to fans and sent to the press. I had the press photo collection of a sportswriter and it included team issues. So it's not always an either/or situation.
