Posted By: Brendan
After finally tracking down some nice 3x5 autographs of Dizzy and Daffy, I took the cards and pen to a local art framing store and had them put together a display for me. I was impressed! They did a great job for the money. In all, it took me a little over a year to track down all the components of the set. First card I got was the Dizzy, which I bought raw from a local card shop. Went on the BST here to get the Daffy, and won the pen during the last REA auction. Scans below, enjoy!

Posted By: Paul
Very cool. Now you can continue the hunt for the Rice Stix postcard that features both Dean brothers in the same pose as on their cards.

Posted By: D
That is one sharp Dizzy, very nice white borders. Thats nice that they both grade out at 8.

Posted By: Brendan
Thanks for the compliments! Dennis, I'm not a cardinals fan (born and raised Yankee fan), I got into these cards after I got the Dizzy, it's got to be one of the most attractive cards of the 30's. Too bad they didn't make a full Goudey-type set using this design, it would have been a beautiful set.

Posted By: Brendan
Nice postcard, I think I remember one being offered on ebay a couple years ago, but I don't know very much about it. Is the postcard specifically tied to the Rice-Stix set or is it just a general photo on which the set was based?

Posted By: Glenn
Looks great. Perhaps this is a topic for another thread, but has anyone else here ever created a similar display? And if so, do you have pictures to share?
