Now for homework convert 308K to Celsius and Fahrenheit.<br /><br />.308 was the lifetime batting average of King Kelly.<br /><br />Ted, great article. It was informative but more importantly to me it brought back great memories of opening packs with my friends in the late 70's and early 80's.

He was also a member of the Detroit Tigers for one year.Det is often abbreviated det. which is Ted backwards.Perry was also traded for John Blue Moon Odom,who was a member of the 1974 A's which had a .308 slugging % in the AL playoffs.He was also a teammate of Vida Blue that year,and both Ted and I will be Blue like them if i dont stop by to see him

They shouldn't need any tricks to remember Ted's new booth number. So, if you're over fifty and you plan on going to the Reading show, hitch a ride with one of them and then all you'll have to remember is to bring money (and hope there's something there to use it on). <img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14><br />

However, if I suggested to some that I was Booth #212,<br />and to remember "boiling point".....I'd say I was quite surprised how people did not know<br /> it was "212". Posted By: <b>Ted Zanidakis</b><p>JOHN<br /><br />Like you, I too associated favorite #'s with BB players' uniform #s.<br /><br />Since I was a Yankee fan and 11 was my favorite #, one of my favorite Yankees<br />was Joe Page (who wore #11). He was a tremendous Relief Pitcher who greatly<br />helped the Yankees win their 1947 and 1949 World Championships.<br /><br />Joe would come in as early as the 6th inning and completely "shut down" the opposing<br /> team. Page was the set-up man and the closer wrapped up in one guy.<br /><br />And, like you, another number that became my favorite was #27......Johnny Lindell.<br />Johnny hit the HR to win the play-off game vs Red Sox in the 1949 season to put the<br /> Yankees into the World Series. I still recall that event as if it was just yesterday.<br /><br />T-Rex TED
