Posted By: Jon Canfield
I'm glad this card is a one-owner card. I have a rule that I will never buy a card that has had more than 3 owners in the past...

http://cgi.ebay.com/CHRISTY-MATHEWSON-1910-SWEET-CAPORAL-BASEBALL-T206_W0QQitemZ280047465364QQihZ018QQcategoryZ57993 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Posted By: Judson Hamlin
Nice shipping charges- is the guy charging for gas to get to the post office and the donut on the way? If you can figure how to ship a card for less than, say, 6.00, there is something wrong.

Posted By: Noel
Howard,

Not sure there is any hostility intended and other than the "One Owner" advertisement for the card i dont think there is anything misleading. Just kind of a silly way to advertise a card. I certainly found it quite humerous.

Posted By: howard
Fair enough. Hostility perhaps was not the right word. But the comments made are similar to ones I've read on this forum in the past in response to fake cards on ebay. Maybe I was the only one confused but I thought it was a little unfair to the seller who might even be a member here for all we know.

Howard

GO RUTGERS!

Posted By: Jon Canfield
No hostility here. Certainly not a fake. Normally you hear a car being described as a "one owner" or something to that effect. I just found it funny that a card was described as "one owner". I don't think anyone would be offended by the friendly jest but if so, my appologies (sp?)

Posted By: anthony
when i saw "one owner card" i had 2 thoughts...

1. the same as david that the owner was 97+ which is possible and that he bent that card when he was young...or

2. that the card was from a 1970's set or something like that

Posted By: T206Collector
Nothing out of line about that. I doubt he'll have much, if anything, left over for gas, coffee or a donut...

I also think "one owner" means that he purchased the card from the family of the original owner.

Posted By: David Smith
But wouldn't that be false advertising because the seller is the SECOND owner? Well, maybe not because the card could be on consignment, I guess.
