Posted By: bigfish
Are there scarcer colors in this set for certain players? I have see many different colors. Do the red ones or other colors command a premium due to scarcity? Any help would be appreciated.

Posted By: Dan Kravitz
I think the blues and greens are more difficult to aquire, but I remember a thread recently that disputed that. I just seem to see more orange and red than any other color. Just my experience/opinion.

Posted By: Wesley
There is no noticeable difference for E98s as there is for the E94s as far as I can tell. Rob A. is a good person to ask. He is close to completion for the master set.

Posted By: Bruce
In contrast to the post above, almost half of my set is green. The others (plus dupes) are divided somewhat equally. I would say that there is no premium for the different colors. Although there is definitely premiums for certain non-HOF players.

Posted By: BcD
The rarities of colors seem "player" sensitive. Certain players in a given color are much harder to find then the same player in the so called rarer colors! I think this disputes the idea that certain colors are rarer as a general rule. This is both true of E-94's and E-98's. This is my findings after compiling three complete sets of each. Right now in addition to the E-94 master set for example I have an almost complete E-94 set in all purple which are supposedly more difficult to find. I assure you it depends on the player.
And of course certain players are easier to find within the rarity of both sets so those players will be easier to find in so called rare colors as well. I have four e-98 "Miner" Brown's for example right now. This player is easier to find in Blue than in red.....go figure.

BcD

Posted By: Dan Kravitz
I think that you are correct. Since collecting mainly Cobb cards it seems that they are seldom seen in blue or green. I'm not certain about other players in the set.
