Posted By: Dave Seaborn
Anybody win anything? I was the first underbidder on five different lots. I did end up winning lot #1432 (13 Buchners) - all just to get one Baltimore card! I'm hoping others were more successful.

Posted By: Dylan
It looked to me that this auction brought in less high dollar items as the last couple have. If you scroll through it does look like there were some good deals had.

Posted By: Hal Lewis
Dylan:

In fairness to Mastro... this is their "bargain" auction in which they specifically AIM for lower level items.

Anything sent to them with real value will be in the December auction. It's one of the normal big ones.

Posted By: JK
I was the underbidder on the t222 alexander and lot 1443 (caramels). If the winner of lot 1443 is a board member, please email me if you plan to break up the lot. Thanks.

Posted By: James Feagin
I think we should define "real value" in comparative terms. For persons such as myself, I already know I will be priced out of the big auction and won't even bother.

Posted By: Hal Lewis
True, James, and I wasn't trying to define it myself.

I was just saying that Mastro has some arbitrary value amount that they are using as the cut off between the two auctions.

Although, if a collector really needed cash, I am sure he could have convinced Mastro to sell a card of $100,000 in this last "low dollar" auction in order to get his cash now instead of December.

Posted By: Brian McQueen

I absolutely agree that there seemed to be some good deals this go around. I won three lots myself and if I'm winning things, things must be going low!

I won lot #3 - the lot of 74 Caramels/Zeenuts; lot #19 - the e97 Proofs; and lot 51 - the r315 set. Truth be told, I went after all of these just to get maybe 4-5 cards TOTAL. So there will be plenty of extras if people are interested. Scott M. or anyone else who'd like something, send me an email and we can discuss.

Also, I'm really hoping that whoever won the e103 group is someone willing to part with that Tenney so I can complete my set finally. I'd certainly be willing to pay a generous premium for the card.

I'd also be up for discussing some of those e97 hand cut cards that went in lot #1443.

Thanks much,

-Brian

Posted By: Hal Lewis
dc:

I thought that Wagner Mino was worth about $6k... so when you add in the juice, I think you got it for a pretty fair price.
