If Chacin ( or however you spell it ) can win around 17 + games, and atleaast 14-ish from a few more, i think they will go places. I think they have the hitting to do it. They just never had any pitching, it was always 1 ace, and a bunch of so so guys.

Yankees will probably be 1st as usual.

Braves will win the division, and choke in the post season as usual.

I ran the season 10 times and averaged everything out. My predictions are what the Diamond Mine simulation came up.

If you don't own Diamond Mine, you should look into it. It's a great sim. They don't have all past seasons available, but you can get just about every 19c and most deadball seasons from fan sites. If you have DM and don't know about these sites, email me and I will give you the URL.

I am currently playing the 1887 season as the Detroit Wolverines. You have no clue just how frustrating the game was back then compared to how it is played today. Games with 15 or more errors is the norm.

Jay

I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home, I would be arrested. So, I go to baseball games and fit right in.

Posted By: Gilbert Maines
Well he could easily have ten seasons to go, and has been averaging over forty per. He could get to 800. If NY don't want to watch this assault on the record, they are crazy.

My prediction for the upcoming season is that he crosses the first hurdle: 500 HRs.

If he stays healthy, he will give Pujols the target (if Pujols can also stay healthy).

Haven't played any games in a few months, but seem to remember that I was in 3rd last I played and Brouthers was leading or among the leaders in a number of catagories. Still amazes me the number of errors commited back. Makes you understand why great fielders were held in such high esteem back then.

Jay

I love pinatas. Posted By: jay behrens
Why is anyone making rpedictions for 2007? We have no clue where free agents are going. The thread was revived to see how we all did with our predictions for this year.

How can you say 1968 wes the best WS ever? Nothing comes close to 1991. 5 games decided by one run and arguably, the great single game in WS history with Jack Morris' 10 innning shutout, You don't have to be a Twins fan to appreciate how great this series was and is propably a huge reason why Puckett got elected to the HOF.

Jay

I love pinatas. Posted By: Brian Weisner

Hi Guys,
As much as it scares me(to death); I agree with Jay. As a Braves fan the 91 series was amazing, Morris and Smoltz were both incredible and un hittable. Too bad Cox ruined it by putting Charlie in to pitch to Kirby, every Braves fan I know knew what was going to happen next HOMERUN.....

Be well Brian

PS Jay, I'm just picking as usual, you don't scare me that much and certainly not to death, as you do the lurkers. If only Sid Bream had hit the game winner, now that would have been fun.

PS 2. Game 4 of the 1990 series with Rijo was pretty incredible too, but it was only 1 game.
