Posted By: Zach Rice
Your Gehrig seems to have a brown dotted line at the top of the card. They postcards don't have this, but the W517 minis do. With that being said, I say it is a W517 mini.

I do not have the card in front of me, but I think the card would have the "POST" of "POSTCARD" written on the back. Besides, your card has too much border on the left side to be cut from this 4/1 exhibit. Notice the tight borders on the left side of Gehrig on the 4/1.

From the few postcards Ive seen (I own 1), I have yet to see one that has a thick border all the way around outside edge. They all have no or very little white showing around the edges.

The stock of the Postcard and Mini are the same thickness, but the postcard seems to be made of a higher qualty stock and has a slightly smoother surface front and back. The printing on the postcard is also of slightly higher quality, but not enough to tell unless you have both to compare. If the postcard was cut, only 1 of the 4 cards would be blank backed. The other 3 would have parts of the "Post Card" design on back.
