Posted By: <b>leon</b><p>There can be a small size varience in this issue. I haven't seen as much variance as in many other caramel issues though. Always look for a wavy cut or 2 squared corners to help detect trimming.....These aren't as bad as people say they are <img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14>.

Posted By: <b>leon</b><p>Sort of but not really. IN reality either a card is trimmed or not. I think if you send it to SGC they will get it right 98% of the time or better. Trimming is tricky.....but don't go by size alone. Look for the (2) sharp corners and/or wavy cut and/or bat ears....good luck

Look on the side edges (all 4), I once heard someone compare it to sqeezing a slice of bread...it just doesn't quite bounce right back. I thought that visualization explained it well. Also, all 4 edges should have about the same amount of "dirtiness".</P>

Posted By: <b>Bruce</b><p>Dave, the card did not appear to me to be trimmed or I would have noted it in my ebay description. However, that does not mean it isn't. Heed the advice given by the board and check the card carefully. Better yet, send the card into SGC. If it is altered in any way, I would certainly give your money back or substitute the card for another e91. Email me if you have any questions.

When I do get cards graded, I send cards to SGC since they don't have a membership fee, in my opinion they are a bit more consistant and the price you would get for resale is virtually the same. Also, you can get the card graded by SGC for $8 (I think) which is cheaper than PSA. There are a dozen or more threads on the virtues of both services so use the search of this site for other opinions.

The second trim cut "pushes" the card stock in the direction of the cut, causing a point that stretches beyond perpendicular to the adjacent edge -- looks kinda like Batman's ears...<br /><br />Something like this -- but not so exaggerated.<br /><br />|\_____________/|<br />|<br />|<br />|<br />|
