Posted By: Judge Dred (Fred)
I wonder if Mr. Rogers (of Mr. Rogers fame) would have liked him? I wonder if Will Rogers, Wayne Rogers or Fred Rogers collected vintage baseball cards? Does anyone really care?

Posted By: Joann
This has really gotta officially be the most "Seinfeld" thread in the history of time. A thread about nothing. But a whole lot of discussion about the nothingness of the thread.

This must be the vintage card equivalent of November, December and January in the baseball season. A few newsworthy notes, but mostly waiting for pitchers and catchers to report.

J

Posted By: Bruce Babcock
Trying to get this thread back to vintage cards, is there a Rogers-Peet card of Will Rogers? Or Roy Rogers?

Posted By: Judge Dred (Fred)
For Peets sake, I couldn't find a complete checklist for that issue... It's supposed to be a sports and aviation grouping so I'm not sure if either (Roy or Will Rogers) would be included... however there is a Rogers Hornsby in the Rogers-Peet set.

Posted By: NickM
Putting Will Rogers in an aviation set would be tacky and tasteless.

I do believe I've seen cards of him in Gallagher, Facchino, or one of the other non-sports sets from the 1930s on eBay though.

He also appears in the 1952 Topps Look N See set.

Nick
