Posted By: leon
At risk of starting too many threads I would enjoy seeing some of these fascinating packs that our cards might have come in, or any that are close but no call (year wise)....Here's a few that N28's or N29's might have come in, I think...

Posted By: Scott Mosley
Easier to post my "collage" of packs rather than several individual ones... Some of these are period and factory correct while others are "close but no cigar"...

And heres one (to go with Bruces Piedmont Candy box on another thread) that should have had a card to go with it but didn't.

Regards,

Scott

Posted By: Anonymous
Just curious if anyone has an idea what might be in the Plowboy cigarette pack?
I saw a small case of those go for $1500 at the local auction house about a year ago. Thats always been on my mind. Thanks in advance.
Ben

Posted By: davidcycleback
Assuming there were 20-25 packs in the case, $1500 was a good deal.

Offhand, I would think you could sell a single pack for over $100, and the case box itself has value. Sweet Caproal packs are the most plentiful, then probably Piedmont. Stuff like Ploy Boy is rarer and, thus, will fetch higher prices.

Posted By: Bryan Long
If you are speaking of the Plow Boy packs that were auctioned off in Kansas roughly a year ago, I had my brother there bidding on items for me. Sad to say that I did not win the Plow Boy packs as I was unable to get in touch with him to say how much I wanted to bid. The packs were unopened I think - not sure if they were period to the time of the cards though.

.

Posted By: Jon Canfield
Ok - since "packs" are my favorite vintage thing, and out of rspect for the board and not wanting to post 1000 images, I will just post a link to my website where most of my packs are pictured (and the packs of a few friends)...

http://www.pride.hofstra.edu/~JCANFI1/cigarette.htm

I also want to give credit to Leon and Jim Shaw since some of the packs belong to them and I don't want to "pretend" they are my own. However, if anyone wants to see individual scans of any of them, I will be more than happy to post them!
