Posted By: Don J
Since T206's are pretty much the standard by which pre-war cards are measured, does anyone care to predict where average T206 prices (and other pre-war cards) will be by the end of the year?

Therefore, extrapolating down to Grade 5 for such
commons, I see bidding at $200 (or more) continuing to be the norm for quite
some time.

The overall economy is considerably better than the "media" is reporting; and,
this fact will continue to "stoke" these prices for T206 cards. Now, I will give
you the benefit of my selling experience at the past two Philly Shows, where
I have sold numerous T206's in varying condition (raw and graded)......

RAW commons Ex to Ex/Mt sold for $75 to $200.

GRADED commons (GAI 5 to GAI 6) sold for $100 to $275.

Had I put these Graded cards on Ebay, I'm sure the bidding would have resulted
in higher $$ than these prices. And, the reason I say this because I turned down
an offer for a Lajoie (portrait), graded GAI 5, of $500. I put it on Ebay and it sold
for $745. (much to my surprise and delight).

T-Rex Ted
