Posted By: <b>Joe D.</b><p>I thought this image was a really nice one... so I figured I would share a scan.<br /><br />It is the inside cover of the December 1925 issue of Baseball Magazine (it is not the same issue of Baseball Magazine from one of my other posts). Inside the magazine is an article on Matty's funeral with pictures of baseball attendees. The earlier image is a tad different than the memorial one - red buttons and artists signature in grey versus red.<br /><br />Heres a look at the the magazine and insert from REA back in 2004. Posted By: <b>fkw</b><p>The magazine mine came from was in bad shape. I bought it framed already but took it out once to look at the back. It is well worn and Im sure the magazine/cover was falling apart or close to. The guy that framed it also put the back cover with a Walter Johnson picture (B&W) behind the Matty front cover pic. So I have both covers.

Posted By: <b>davidcycleback</b><p>You can make a digital copy and print it out. I had an 1873 Haprer's Weekly of the Philadelphia Athletics-- composite of all the players. I scanned Cap Anson, matted and framed it and it looks nice on the wall. Collectors can do this with smaller photos, postcards and cards. A major positive is that you don't have to worry about sun or display damage when they're reprints.
