Posted By: Bob
The other 2 are fine. The third appears to me to be a replica. I have most of the cards in the E95 set and the printing on the back of this one is much darker than any of the others (which have all been graded). I think the colors on the front look muted, etc. it just looks wrong. Any opinions from the scan? I emailed the seller and advised him that while I didn't think he knowingly sold a fake (this set has been reprinted by the way), and while I was tickled with the other 2 caramel cards, I'd like to see about returning this one and a partial refund. No response yet. Any suggestions here because this is a tricky area, where you have partial performance, i.e. 2 of the 3 were as advertised, 1 wasn't, and you want to not return the other 2. (Ignore the edges, my scanner cropped off the top, for example)
Thanks,
tbob

Posted By: robert a
Hi Bob,

The pattern on the front (that I assume was created by the scanner) is throwing me off. The rest of the card looks fine to me. I've seen slight differences with the boldness of the print on the back of e95s. The reprints are just horrible that i've seen and don't look even close to period. Yours does look a bit too bold though.

robert

Pretty hard to tell initially but there is no doubt about it when you actually hold the cards in hand. The front surface does not "feel" like a vintage card does at all.
