Posted By: Andy Cook
I'm trying to figure out which predominately major league sets also include some PCL players. For example, most of the cards in T213-2 are major leaguers, but there are also three PCL cards (2 for Frank Chance and one for Quinn). What other sets have a couple PCL cards mixed in?
Thanks,
Andy

The set contains both major and minor leaguers. Most of the major leaguers in the set however have ties either directly to the PCL or played in the Western US before going to the major leagues (a la Walter Johnson). Mails himself has a card indicating that he currently plays in the PCL but used to play for Cleveland. There are people playing for other minor leagues other than the PCL but I believe they were all former PCL guys. Here are some picture examples.

Instruction card indicating cards produced in Santa Monica, CA

Mails himself:

Another example of a PCL guy:

Guy playing for Kansas City:

Anyways, hope this helps.
-Rhett

Posted By: Andy Cook
Thanks Rhett, that's good info. Are there any PCL players among the minor leaguers in M116? Does someone know the card numbers of PCL players in 33 Goudey or any World Wide Gum sets?

Thanks,
Andy

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
In 1949 Bowman Gum produced a Major League set of 252 cards
and in the interim also issued a 36-card PCL set.

Arguably, these are two separate sets; however, ask any advanced
1949 Bowman collector and he will tell you that his Bowman set is
not complete unless he has all the 288 cards (Major Leaguers & PCL).
