What do you mean by erase job?"

Certain Goudey reprints have the word "reprint" on the back of the card, in the middle of the third line up from the bottom.

Look at the scan of the back of the Ruth card in that auction ... the word "Reprint" has been erased from the middle of the third line from the bottom.

Posted By: Andy
I am still amazed at buyers that will bid this much money for cards they don't know about. I have never owned a 33 Goudey and I know this is a reprint.

I understand that $75.00 - $100.00 may not be a lot of money to some people but budgets come in all shapes and sizes.

Anytime someone says they got an item in an "estate sale" or "found it in the attic" then you should question the authenticity of the item. There might, by some chance, be a legitimate card that was found this way and then listed on an online auction like eBay or Yahoo, but be cautious first. And never bid unless you know what you are bidding on.

Thank you all for this forum.
