Posted By: Lee Behrens
The cutout around the card has absolutely nothing to do with the size of the card. If you want to believe that, fine by me, one less person to bid against.

I agree the Herzog looks suspect from the front but the back is fine. There is enough room in the holder for curling that would distort the straight line. None of the cards appeear to have the dog ear corners.

I guess it is open season to bash the grading companies again. We all know where tha ends up.

Posted By: T206Collector
SGC cutouts are individually cut for each card that they holder, so you can't go by the size of the insert.

I do not believe either card is trimmed. First of all, look at the players involved. Second, the cards are not in that great condition after the trimming. Finally, they pass my eyeball test as clean cards.

Just my opinion.

Posted By: Bill
I have many SGC graded T206's and as everyone knows SGC generally grades tough, but have you noticed that quite a few of Sandiegowill's SGC T206s on ebay currently received very generous grades. He has a few that would upgrade my set, but the cards are not as nice as mine in the lower grade. Guess that is why you buy the card, not the grade. Just my opinion. Posted By: dan mckee
NOT TRIMMED. Short means nothing if you know T206s. T206s do NOT come in just one size! Show me T's that are dog eared like the PSA Cobb that just sold in Sotheby's for $10K.

Posted By: Brian H (misunderestimated)
Frankly before calling virtually any T-card that isn't graded NM or higher trimmed I would want to see it first hand. Yes, as presented it looks short (more because of the holder than the card) but these cards were not exactly laser cut to strict specifications.

Posted By: petecld
Are the T206 cards trimmed? My opinion - No
Are they over graded - Yes.

What does a trimmed card look like graded? Look here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5144658230&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

Posted By: Marc S.
"OT TRIMMED. Short means nothing if you know T206s. T206s do NOT come in just one size!"

But the flip side of these size variations is that the average size of a T-206 has shrunk precipitously over the past decade or two...
Posted By: Brian

Hi Rob,
The seller Will Hayes has already answered this question in another post, it was an accident. Will is an excellent seller who I would not hesitate to buy from.

Be well Brian

PS Pete, is right, these cards are not trimmed, just shorter T206's. Next time in Chicago, I'll buy you a Beer at Wrigley....
Posted By: Dave
This is a pointer to a posting I made a long time ago. Basically you can make a histogram of sizes from this.

http://www.network54.com/Forum/153652/message/1090717955/last-1090718359/T206+sizes
