Posted By: Zach Rice
Below is the postcard in question. It is obviously a commemerative PC of the 1888-1889 Spalding Around the World tour because of the back being divided. So it must have been produced post 1907 but does anyone know exactly when ? The only sale of another one I could find was in 2004 in a Lelands auction which gave the date of 1888-1889 which is impossible and inaccurate because of the divided back and the the fact that these were made by Fred Pfeffer after his baseball career as promotional items for his buffett which is mentioned on the back of the PC. So it was produced after 1907 but is there anyone out there who can give an exact date ? I've looked at a few sites and books on postcards but am still having trouble coming up with the date for this one. Thanks in advance.
