The bidders are all legitimate and there is no shilling that I can see. We are in big trouble if cards like this start demanding this type of $$$$'s.

A PSA 6 just sold a few weeks ago for $370.00

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
This particular bidder, and a handful of others, are going wild with T206
cards (Grades 5, 6, & 7) on ebay, lately. I do not quite understand this;
what do they know that the rest of us don't ? This is not limited to T206's,
only; and, is probably going on with other vintage cards, too. I have just
notced it with T206's since I have been outbid by some of these bidders.

This one sold last week for almost a grand -

"http://cgi.ebay.com/1911-T206-Miller-Huggins-HANDS-AT-MOUTH-PSA-6-EXMT_W0QQitemZ8806871658QQcategoryZ31718QQssPageNa meZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem"

I sold my Gavvy Cravath SGC 80 last week for $430, shocked the heck out of me.

Sean BH

He explained that if he really wants a card on ebay, he will just bid thousands of dollars on it, even if it is not worth that much. If you ever find yourself bidding against rosie7495, you essentially have no chance if you are hoping that market forces will help contain him.

Posted By: Scot Reader

Huggins PSA 6 at $1000 is just the tip of the iceberg. More than a dozen T206 COMMONS sold for $400+ in the last two weeks--three of them for more than $540. This is not to mention that all four T206 PSA 7 commons sold on eBay in the last couple of weeks went for $1300+, or that the PSA 9 Donovan (Throwing) at auction right now stands at an unthinkable $8900 with more than two days left. Present demand for PSA 6s and up seems insatiable. Scot
