Posted By: Mike McGrail
Greetings all,

I'd like to ask for your assistance with the following stolen card situation.

On 9 March 2006, I purchased a E98 Wagner via eBay. Being that I live over here in Holland, I had the card sent to my mothers house in Pittsburgh. This is normal, happens all the time. Card arrived fine. No issue here with the seller or postal system. But between card arrival in Pittsburgh and getting the card out to me, the thing was stolen from my mothers house. We suspect a number of my brothers "friends" who have been over this past week to help out with some heavy work. Police reports in progress.

The card is an E98 Wagner. Green background. From the Nagy Collection. Graded AUT by SGC. SGC inventory number is 1224317-144. See scans below. I am currently trying to get better ones from the seller.

Special request to you folks in or with ties to Western Pennsylvania to stay alert as I believe this card is still in the Pittsburgh area.

Anyone that can help me get this thing back can count on $100 reward plus the satisfaction of nailing a thief.

Ciao for now,

Mike

Posted By: Joann
It bet if it turns up anywhere, it'll turn up on ebay. Ebay is the one place that everyone knows about, and you can buy/sell things that you otherwise wouldn't know where to buy/sell.

"Brother's friends helping Mom lift heavy things" to me doesn't sound a whole lot like "astute collector and judge of vintage baseball cards". So I'm thinking the thief will fall into the category of not quite knowing where to go with it. So ... let's watch ebay and wait for it.

Joann

Posted By: Ben
Really sorry to hear that Mike. If anyone knows how it feels to have cards stolen, it's me. Really quite unpleasant. I will certainly be on the lookout and many others on the forum surely will be as well. Best of luck in the attempted recovery.
