Posted By: Elliot
In recent days, Bill, Brian and myself have grown very concerned with the direction of the forum, and hence tonite while everybody else has been sleeping we have organized a coup d'etat and overthrown that sadistic dictator Leon. No longer will the masses be subjected to his overbearing ways, his interference in threads, his constant editing, the locking of threads, nor his constant harangues about maintaining focus. Further, no longer we will need to be forced to view the posting of cards in his collection, and recently his prediliction to be posting cards from Marshall's collection. He has rubbed our noses in it far too much. We think the majority of people on the board have had these cards forced down our throats long enough.
Going forward the three of us will form a cabinet to run the board in a true democratic manner. Some of the items that we will immediately institute will be 1) more Barry Bond threads and 2) more Honus Wagner reprint threads as we believe that these threads speak to the majority of the people on the forum rather than the elite wanting to talk about Old Judges, e107's, etc.
We fully expect that Leon, when he returns will try to fight his loss of power with whatever resources he has available, but we caution you to disregard any comments that he makes here, as he is no longer in charge.

We thank you in advance for your support of our initiative.

thanks, Elliot

A Partly Riveting, Interesting Litany For Only One Leon

Mom upsidedown is what dad wants to see.

Edited to say that yes, it's true we have many many supporters....the masses have arisen to overthrow the despotic tyrant.

Posted By: Judge Dred (Fred)
Elliot,

That was a bit OT, I think I'm going to tell Leon and Brian on you. I think this thread should be shut down, but first I think we need to poll the other posters by using the polling function. After the poll is finished we need to shove the poll up someones arse and then we need to crawl on our knees and beg forgiveness from Adam Moraine and beg him to be our newly "elected" coup leader. We should also give Al Rosen a call and see if he'll join forces with us and give this forum the "makeover" it is truly in need of. After Al accepts the position we then get Jay Bobbit to join us the forum treasurer. All in favor, raise your hands...

Posted By: David McDonald
My grandfather gave me this card about thirty years ago. Although it holds great sentimental value, the vintage card market is hot right now, and, frankly, I could use the money. I asked PSA to cross it over and Mastro has agreed to insert it as a late entry in their April auction. Just wanted to give you all a heads up. Perhaps this should go in the B/S/T thread but now that the fascist dog Leon (what kind of a name is Leon anyway?) has been ousted then what the heck.

A drunk man can't gamble if Mom's upside down
