Posted By: Bryan Long
I know this has been discussed before, but I have yet to actually see one that a 54 member has in their collection. Also a double overprint would be even nicer. In all the auctions I have seen, both on ebay and major auction house I don't think I have ever seen one. Does anyone here have one that they would like to share.
When was the last time you saw one for sale? Any idea on what it may bring? Obviously the player on the card would make the final price.

Edited to say: After doing another search it looks as though one may have been posted here before but no longer exists.

.

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
There were two depicted several months ago; but, I can't recall whose cards
they were or which thread these two cards were on.

There is something about these overprints that makes me skeptical. Are they
a legimate issue or are they just printing errors ? I say this because the
overprints I have seen are inverted. They are not like the typical Sweet Cap.
overprints at the bottom portion of the card's back. Instead, they are printed
upside down on the top portion of the Old Mill back....very strange.

Anyone else have any thoughts on these seldom seen T206 backs ?

Posted By: Brian E.
Ted, I do recall the thread you referenced; after that thread, I am of the opinion that the OM OP is a printing error rather than a distinct issue.

Brian E.

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
Brian E.

Brian Weisner also agrees with us about these being printing errors.

The Thread that was posted on this subject is "T206 Old Mill sl Double
Overprint Scan" by Robert A (caramelcard) on Dec 23 2005 and it can be
currently accessed on P. 22; unfortunately, the pix are no longer there.
Posted By: Scot Reader
Bryan and Ted:

Here is an example of Old Mill Single Overstrike with red print. The subject is Greminger. Unfortunately for me it is not my card.

Scot
