Posted By: leon
Hey guys and girls,
As a normal course of business when anyone, or I, start a new pick ups thread I will lock the old one. No need to have 2 going. If you posted on the other one in the last day or two please feel free to post on the new one too....Locking them is not meant to be my normal mean self.....I probably won't post about this again in the future so please take this as a friendly operational notice.....thanks kindly...

Posted By: Bill Kasel
Jim,

That is precicely why I wanted it. I don't collect E93's per se. I love type cards but I am gearing my collection to card that I think are cool, beautiful, and unique irregardless of type. Someone posted the Leach in a thread a few months back and I just had to have one. This, and the E95 Merkle are two of my favorite looking cards. One day I'll have the Zeenut Halla that has been so elusive to me!

Edited to add: I hope the scan is just dark and the colors are more vibrant in hand.

Bill

Posted By: Jon Canfield
I just got back from Fort Washington today. The show was good and got to talk to both Ted and Dan McKee. While I was there, I picked up two more E95's - the Plank pictured below and a gorgeous Merkle. I'm down to only 2 for the set - Wagner and Morgan!!! Since SGC had all my other E95's, I dropped the Merkle off to them so I don't have a picture. I also have this nice E96 Jennings. STRONG back, creasing is what gave it the 1.5 but it's a great card.

Posted By: michelle wise
Mike, the cutout is 2006 topps #297 Alex Gordon. If you are interested in selling or trading, please let me know- as my youngest son is trying to complete the set, and that particular card was shortprinted. In case you were wondering, about 99% of all of the Alex Gordon Topps cards are cut out like that. This is due to the new "rookie card" designation put out by MLB this year, a player has to be on the 40 man roster in order to be able to be on a card. Gordon failed to make the roster, and the picture was punched out after production. The only reason the card was still released was so that people could still complete sets.
