Posted By: Michelle Wise
Picked up 2 Joe Jackson postcards that I am told were "george brace". Not sure exactly what these are, or when they were issued. They are postcard backed, both postally unused- and states that they are printed on kodak brand paper. ANY info on these would be GREATLY appreciated. Just trying to figure out exactly what I have. thanks- michelle

Posted By: Ben
For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure Kodak PC's were all produced post-1950. I'm sure someone here will be able to provide some good info for you on them.

Posted By: Daniel Bretta
I have about 8 postcards just like these (Not Joe Jackson but other players)....All of them originated from an ebay dealer in New York who used these as throw ins with his minor league baseball programs that I bought. In fact even the writing on your card looks similar to the writing on my postcards. I always assumed these were something that he was producing himself.

Posted By: Michelle Wise
I know that I've seen the image on the left associated with Joe Jackson- newspaper clippings, magazine photos, etc. - but I wasnt sure if the photo on the right was actually joe jackson or not. I appreciate everyone's input on this one. Glad I can learn from the experts here on the board.

Brace was the partner of the very famous photographer George Burke, and there is a book about Brace's photography. He died a few years age at the age of about 89. If someone told you that your postcards are by George Brace, there's a good chance they were made by Brace

Posted By: Daniel Bretta
Michelle, do you mind if I ask you where you obtained yours? I tried to ask the dealer who threw these in with the programs I bought if he knew what they were and he never replied to me.
